The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is responsible for recruiting eligible and qualified individuals for various positions in the ministries and departments of the Government of India and its associated offices. Examinations and interviews are conducted at regular intervals for recruitment of deserving candidates to the Group B and Group C sections of the Government of India. The SSC has its headquarters in New Delhi and seven regional offices located at Allahabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai and Bengaluru. The SSC also has two regional offices at Raipur and Chandigarh. The Staff Selection Commission works in coordination with the office of the Department of Personnel and Training.
